I started building sites in 2019 for hotels and traders across Cameroon who had been quoted agency prices for a five-page website. Seven years later the work has grown—design systems, e-commerce, technical SEO for sites with a thousand URLs—but the arrangement has not: one design engineer, fixed price, direct line.
Design and SEO are usually sold by two different people who never speak. That is why so many beautiful sites rank for nothing. I do both, so the layout, the markup, the schema and the content plan are decided in the same afternoon.
